I'm in the middle of reading Knock at the Sky right now and loving it! I love book lists and I found several to check out based on yours :). A few I read and loved this year: "Get the Picture" by Bianca Bosker, "The Way of Belonging" by Sarah E. Westfall, "Good night, Irene" by Luis Alberto Urrea, and "The Ministry of Time" by Kaliane Bradley.
The Center for Action and Contemplation (CAC.ORG) has a great podcast lineup, one of which is, Turning To The Mystics with James Finley. Each season he takes a deep dive into one Christian mystic. If you are interested in the women mystics, it would be another place to soak in their spirits.
It's the same org that hosts my favorite podcast, Love, Period, with Rev. Jacki Lewis.
Not books, I know. I haven't wrapped myself in long-form reading for a while. The season I'm in allows me snippets. Substack is good for that. Tina Brown is one of the only current event commentators that I actually look forward to. The rest are just ridiculous.

Isn't Knock just wonderful? I really loved it.
And I'm definitely checking out all these books you mentioned!
Late to the game catching up to this, but I'm so glad you're getting to know the women mystics through my book! That is super exciting to me. =)
It's such a gift, thank you!
Thank you, Lauren, for sharing. I'm also a fan of the Thursday Murder Club series.
One of the best books I read this year was James Baldwin's Notes of a Native Son. It was compelling from start to finish.
May you find first-rate books to read in 2025.
I will definitely check out Notes of a Native Son. Thank you, Julie!
You are most welcome, Lauren. I hope you find it worth your while.
Must reads 💎💕📚💕💎

I am absolutely going to check out that podcast. 🧡 Thank you, Robin!
